ABC Commercial's Digital team is looking for an experienced and technically-literate Product Manager to own the development of a new, mobile-first transactional video on demand service.

Job Requirement:
•  Recent and extensive experience of digital product management concept through to launch, preferably in an agile development environment. Technical/engineering background and/or experience product managing mobile products or IPTV highly desirable, including a strong grasp of the technical aspects driving a video on demand product.
•  Proven ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams; effective liaison with product teams, design and technical specialists, marketing, sales, business affairs and other support functions.
•  Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; strong relationship management, diplomacy and negotiation skills; able to understand and channel multiple points of view, to influence and deal effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders at all levels, and to advocate for the customer in the product development process.
•  Superb business and product instincts and a comprehensive understanding of trends and competitive developments in the video on demand space, as well as a good understanding of user-centred design.
•  Sound judgement; strong problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills, a track record in successfully meeting budgets and timelines.
•  Extensive experience writing business cases, requirements documents, user stories, acceptance criteria.
•  An understanding of and commitment to the ABC's aims, objectives and workplace values, together with relevant policies and guidelines including Editorial Policies, Equity & Diversity and Work Health & Safety.

Job Duties:
•  Apply product expertise to develop new transactional video on demand mobile and online product. Set and communicate product vision and goals and champion business case; manage cross product and business unit impacts.
•  Ideate, plan and manage product roadmap and budget.
•  Work with technical, UX and design teams - and across the ABC with stakeholders at all levels - to deliver proof of concept for mobile-first video on demand product that sets the standard in terms of ease of use, meeting stakeholders needs, satisfying users, and ensuring high standards of innovation and quality consistent with the ABC's production values and Editorial Policies.
•  Research, understand and champion user needs; define, gather and prioritise business requirements and key success metrics for the product and its roadmap.
•  Work with product, sales, business affairs, content distribution and marketing teams to deliver early product stages, features, content in a timely manner and to high quality standards
•  Accountability for all product management functions associated with this and related products including strategy, development, sourcing content, monetisation, costs, rights acquisition, and stakeholder management.
•  Monitor competitor and industry trends, and review performance metrics and customer feedback to refine product and marketing strategies.
•  Actively promote the ABC values and apply all relevant policies and guidelines including Editorial Policies, Equity & Diversity and Work Health & Safety.
