One of the most loved youth media brands in Australia is looking for a talented emerging designer to produce artwork and design across online, merchandise, CDs and print. If you've got a unique perspective, an irreverent style and experience with graphic design and illustration that targets a young audience, then send us your stuff.
Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and Flash are all essential as is the ability to repurpose master concepts for a variety of formats and applications. You'll be working with an experienced triple j designer, so need to show your ability to work as part of a team and also work to strict deadlines with little supervision.
Job Requirement:
• Proven creative experience in graphic design and illustration that targets a young audience.
• Detailed knowledge and experience with graphic design software including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and Flash.
• Ability to repurpose master concepts and work within a house style for a variety of formats and applications including print, online and commercial merchandise.
• A sound understanding of triple j's strategic direction and target audience.
• High-level interpersonal and motivational skills and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Proven team player.
• An understanding of and commitment to the ABC's aims, objectives and workplace values, together with relevant policies and guidelines including Editorial Policies, Equity & Diversity and Work Health & Safety.
Job Duties:
• Contribute to the design, look and feel of triple j material internally and for publicity purposes, including major campaigns, merchandise, events, regular programs and other ongoing requirements.
• To develop artwork and design for ABC Commercial in keeping with triple j branding and marketing strategies.
• To develop artwork for cross platform projects (online & mobile) in collaboration with triple j's multi-platform team.
• Contribute creative ideas for triple j designs and campaigns, working with the triple j editorial and marketing teams.
• To ensure triple j maintains a consistent, appealing and engaging visual image in collaboration with Marketing Manager and multi-platform team.
• To communicate well and be highly organised, managing workflows from design concept to implementation against final products.
• Actively promote the ABC values and apply all relevant policies and guidelines including Editorial Policies, Equity & Diversity and Work Health & Safety.
