At CSR, our Gyprock Trade Centres (GTC) sell Gyprock® plasterboard and accessories, Fibre Cement, Rondo metal components as well as a range of tools, fixings and compounds for the building and construction industry.

We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic and experienced Store Manager to lead our Fortitude Valley team. Trade hardware or building products supply business experience highly regarded. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for identifying and exploring new opportunities for CSR to grow the business by selling the benefits of our tools, compounds and accessories to builders, contractors and DIY customers. You will achieve this through exceptional store management/customer relationships and be accountable for the entire day to day operations with the ability to improve processes and procedures ensuring long term success!

By leading and mentoring your team, you will be driving excellence in sales, safety, retail strategy and marketing. As we say, run this operation just like it is your own!

Job duties will include but are not limited to:

  •     Driving sales and growing the revenue stream to achieve our profit objectives
  •     Delivering operating, housekeeping, retail, merchandising and presentation standards of excellence
  •     Inventory management
  •     Being an effective and visible leader who can develop a high performing team that is motivated and engaged
  •     Managing staff rosters and staff development
  •     Closely controlling costs within budget and other financial KPI's
  •     Ensuring compliance to company OH&S standards and commitment to developing an uncompromising safety culture

As this is a hands on role where you will be expected to immerse yourself in all aspects of the business the successful applicant must have a current driver's license and forklift license. Basic PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) and knowledge of SAP highly advantageous.

You will need to be available between the times of 6am - 4pm, with some Saturday work required.
