Arrium Mining currently exports approximately six million tonnes of hematite ore to China per annum from its Middleback Ranges mining operation in South Australia. The business expects to increase its export sales to a rate of approximately 11 million tonnes per annum by mid-2013 through bringing on-line additional sales from its Southern Iron operations in South Australia and the doubling of its port capacity at Whyalla, South Australia to approximately 12 million tonnes per annum.

As our Remuneration and Benefits Advisor, you will be responsible for producing Letters of Offer, Salary Advice letters and other employment/remuneration related correspondence for current and future employees. You will also get the opportunity to work on our employee share-plan and annual salary review process. This role also maintains a number of key databases, provides various administrative functions to support our diverse business and is a key service for HR, business managers and employees regarding a range of remuneration topics. With variety to challenge you, this is a role that will see you multitasking and delivering key support to a business focused on results.

You will have a relevant tertiary qualification (or working towards) and above all, you will be able to demonstrate a service focus and possess a genuine interest in the area of remuneration. Equally important will be your structured approach, ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines which will stem from your previous success in environments that have required your multitasking expertise. You will be a team player who can work autonomously, possessing strong written and verbal communication skills and a positive 'can do' attitude. Well-developed skills in Microsoft Office are a must, as is a knack for numbers and an attention to detail. As someone who is sensitive to matters of confidentiality, you will be focused on providing high levels support in everything you do.
