Job Description:
BlueScope Distribution (BSD) provides a range of markets with an easy and cost efficient method of sourcing steel from Australia’s leading manufacturer, BlueScope Limited. By providing exceptional customer service and relationship management, low cost operations, strong brands and leading market knowledge, BSD has become a vital part of the overall BlueScope operation. This 12 month fixed term assignment will offer the opportunity to be an integral team member in the performance of data management activities.
Reporting to the SAP Conversion Manager your responsibilities will include designing, developing and testing of MS Access and MS Excel tool sets to;
- Transform flat file data into predefined templates
- Create interactive forms for business users to validate/clean data
- Scrutinising and validating data prior to presenting to business users
- Performing data reconciliation of transformed
- Root cause identification and correction of erroneous data errors
- Documenting of the transformation process
- Liaising with business persons
Essential to this role is your capability to work independently to achieve deadlines and team results, estimating tool set build efforts, while maintaining a strong focus on the details and the solving of issues. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science would be highly desirable.
