We are currently seeking an Operations Manager based at our manufacturing site at Townsville. In this role you will be responsible for managing the operations team to achieve cost, safety and operational targets as well as ensuring food quality meets customer expectations through the implementation of operational strategies and business plans. Townsville is an integral site in the delivery of fresh daily product to the Queensland marketplace.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as an Operations Manager, ideally in the FMCG industry.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Logical, analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and SH&E procedures and standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced 7 day environment to meet targets and deadlines would be ideal.


Job Duties:

  • Lead and co-ordinate resources to ensure the site is run efficiently including identifying and exploring new methods of operating, you will do this through developing a continuous improvement mindset across the site.
  • Ensure compliance with required Safety, Quality, GMP, HACCP, Hygiene and Food Safety policies.
  • Lead strategies to reduce and eliminate production and processing waste and manufacturing costs within budget.
  • Lead, develop and performance manage direct staff to deliver business objectives through the development of clear targets and constant feedback.
  • Ensure all site staff are aware and follow safety procedures to prevent and minimise incidents and harm.
