Two newly created opportunities exist for a Draught Beer Specialist to join our business; one part time and one full time based in northern Queensland.

Reporting to the State DBO Manager, the Draught Beer Specialist (Quality) will hold primary responsibility for auditing on premise venues with the purpose of improving beer quality along with educating and training venue staff to provide consistently high quality draught beer.

Job Requirements:

  • Sound understanding of Draught Beer Quality along with the experience to audit venues to identify opportunities
  • Ability to build and facilitate education sessions to both small and large groups
  • Ability to think commercially and negotiate with customers, either as part of a Sales team discussion or to ensure selection of the most appropriate systems by the venue
  • Strong relationship (internal and external) building and maintaining skills
  • Proven and sound planning skills, which includes actively aligning DBO activity/plans with relevant CUB Sales teams in the region
  • The ability to proactively identify problems and understand their root cause
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve results through a highly organised approach
  • Technical service, installation, supports background working with refrigeration systems ideally in Beer industry
  • Trade qualification (Refrigeration preferred)


Job Duties:

  • Managing relationships with On-Premise customers while partnering with the CUB sales force to drive results within the territory/region
  • Aligning DBO planning and activity objectives to a differentiated customer service offering
  • Conducting venue assessments, audits and creating plans to close the gaps identified by the audit
  • Preparation of outlet reports focusing on audit results, issues and opportunities for CUB
  • High level scope of works management for outlets ensuring that  installation design options are achieved
  • Partnering with 3rd party service provider to ensure installations, repairs and maintenance are managed to an acceptable standard
  • Delivery of high quality technical training programs to trade customers and sales teams
  • Ensuring that in venue corrective maintenance is managed efficiently
