Corporate Operations Group (COG) provides specialist professional services, human resources, workplace infrastructure, and technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses. The primary purpose of COG is to support and enhance the value of Macquarie through the creation of an efficient, scalable operating model. This is evident across the activities of each of the divisions which comprise; Business Improvement and Strategy Division (BIS), Business Services Division (BSD), COG Business Management, Human Resources Division (HR), Market Operations and Technology.
COG Operational Risk Strategy and Support ensures COG is able to meet its risk obligations and implements appropriate and consistent controls. The team also develops consistent frameworks that address risk and compliance issues and new requirements in COG and Macquarie-wide where required

Job Description:
The role will be responsible for operational ownership, management and support of critical online and digital business infrastructure which supports Macquarie's online and internal presence across the online application hosting, identity and access management, and content management domains

Job Requirements:
   
•    IT degree or equivalent experience
•    Experience with formal process improvement frameworks (e.g. ITIL, CMM) and successfully implementing process improvement initiatives
•    A demonstrated can do attitude with strong commitment to delivering timely, accurate IT solutions
•    Ability to soundly manage concurrent projects. Ability to work to a deadline, proven ability to work well under pressure with strong problem solving skills
•    A self motivated person with a strong aptitude for learning
•    Customer-focus
•    Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship building skills - strong focus on collaboration and effectively communicating a point of view to obtain the support / buy in of key stakeholders
•    Demonstrated ability to lead a team through real understanding of the delivery, not simply task monitoring; particularly in environments where team members are not always co-located
•    Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
•    Familiarity with change management processes within production systems

•    Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and their application
•    Proven ability to work across cultures with a geographically dispersed user and technical community
•    Proven ability to work with a combination of internal employees and external service providers

Job Duties:

   
•    Direct and Indirect management of IT operational resources across multiple locations, companies and countries
•    Working with senior directors and executives to set the operational strategy and owning the implementation of this strategy
•    Working closely with internal clients to develop and execute IT initiatives
•    Managing resources to deliver appropriate levels of support. Working with numerous business and IT project managers for successful project delivery
•    Ownership and Improvement focus on the quality and stability of the production environment
•    Ownership of complying to ITIL support processes (e.g. incident, problem, change, release)
•    Provide an effective and efficient end to end operational service for all areas within the responsibility domain with a focus on continuous improvement
•    Manage both forward looking and day to day operational activities
•    Ensure the team operates with end to end accountability
•    Play a significant role in long term planning, including initiatives geared towards operational excellence
•    Management of operational risk activities (e.g. audits, BCP testing)
•    Resource management and planning
•    Financial Management
