Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Environments & Release Manager with a focus on Data Warehousing and working with internal teams within the IT Data team. The aim of your position is to manage the end-to-end environment landscape, including all patching and code release processes.

This role is within the Corporate Delivery area of the Technology division, specifically the Corporate Data team in the Finance Management Group.  The Corporate Data team supports a Data Warehouse solution that has been built from scratch over the past three years and has multiple components across the Microsoft technology stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, MDS, TFS, Sharepoint 2010)

There are multiple environments across the SDLC lifecycle: Dev; Test, UAT, Stress & Volume, Production and DR.

Job Requirements:
•    Solid experience in a similar environment
•    Microsoft technology stack background (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, MDS, TFS, Sharepoint 2010)
•    Build management & continuous integration tools (uDeploy, TFS, Bamboo)
•    Source control tools including but not limited to Team Foundation Server (TFS)
•    Excellent analytical & problem solving skills
•    Strong communication skills
•    Some knowledge of scripting languages including Powershell, MSBuild would be beneficial
•    A Tertiary degree in IT or similar subject

Job Duties:

•    Manage releases with business and technology stakeholders and maintain a forward view of change
•    Coordinating fit-for-purpose environment establishment, usage and decommissioning with all relevant stakeholders
•    Managing and leading the team of release engineers
•    Ensuring release management protocols are documented and enforced and the integrity of the code base maintained at all times
•    Wherever possible, drive adoption of the standard SDLC tools within the Corporate Data release function
•    Actively manage risks and issues and drive an appropriate risk management culture in the team
•    Engagement with Project Managers and technical leaders to direct successful outcomes in Service Transition, Change, Release and Test Environments.
•    To proactively engage with other infrastructure teams as required
•    Drive Continuous Improvement across the portfolio of responsibilities, including participation in developing the application roadmap
•    Lead, coordinate and implement any technology environment patches and upgrades
•    Define and implement environment refresh processes
