About Us
A position has become available at our Distribution Centre located at Alexandria for a highly motivated and experienced person to supervise the daily activities. Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, you will manage all activities by fostering a safe, efficient, professional and effective working environment; promote 'service excellence' through open, timely communication and effective use of available technologies.
You will continue to support improvement through development of team members and cost optimisation for both our business and our customers. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to successfully supervise a medium to large diverse workforce in a fast paced distribution centre or warehouse achieving cost effective outcomes. The ability to react to changing priorities and adjust planning whilst delivering high service levels is expected in this role.
Job Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience in warehousing and distribution coupled with SHE compliance
• Strong customer service skills.
• An understanding of supply chain objectives,
• Experience in achieving sales targets,
• Problem solving skills
• Self-motivation will be so advantageous.
• Strong computer skills with experience in SAP (trained or willingness to learn).
Job Responsibilities:
• Assist with CSR's Safety, Health & Environmental plan for the distribution centre;
• Assist with managing site overhead budget and identify cost savings;
• Ensure the site provides the highest levels of Customer Service;
• Ensure "On time, in Full, in Spec" delivery achieved - DIFOTIS >95%;
• Maintain inventory control - IRA to be 95% or better;
• Ensure distribution centre "KPI's" are achieved;
• Maintain a high standard of site housekeeping;
• Drive continuous improvement in site practises;
• Support a harmonious work environment and positive team culture;
This role will suit an individual with a 'hands on' work approach; the enthusiasm to engage in all operational functions and a communication style that leads itself to developing and encouraging staff whilst being able to effectively provide activity updates to management.
