As we drive towards one exciting future, we have a superb opportunity for an Actuary to join our Sydney based Suncorp Life Valuation & Reporting Team.

Job Requirements:

•     5 years+ experience of life insurance in a valuation or capital type role
•     3 years+ experience of the MoS valuation techniques for life insurance
•     Work experience in the Australian valuation arena
•     Work experience in mentorship, people management or motivation of a team
•     FIAA qualifications or nearing completion
•     Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline (actuarial/ mathematical/ statistical/ engineering)
•     Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
•     Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•     Delight in looking for new ways to continually improve our analytical processes. 

Job Duties:

•     Managing the maintenance, improvement, and documentation of systems, processes and bases for experience analysis and Margin of Services (MoS) profits/liability calculations
•     Producing, checking and commenting on the calculations for experience analysis and MoS profits/liability calculations
•     Providing advice and recommendations to relevant key stakeholders  relating to valuation of policy liabilities, experience analysis and profit reporting
•     Supporting the drive for ongoing efficiencies, simplification and process improvement within the Actuarial Valuation team
•     Development, management and mentoring of more junior members of the actuarial team
