Job Description:
Grade 6 Senior Journalist.
This position reports to Editor at The Armidale Express and is located at Armidale

Job Requirement:
The person we are seeking for this role should possess:
•  Three years sub-editing and layout experience, preferably using Quark.
•  Two years reporting duties, with an eye for accuracy, experience in court and hard news reporting.
•  Photographic skills.
•  Firm grasp of emerging technologies used with reporting, i.e., social media and website.
•  Be able to work as part of the team and work unsupervised.
•  Have excellent written & oral skills.
•  This is a senior appointment to a pivotal role across the company

Job Duties:
•  Write and report in a senior capacity
•  Creative flair for layout and design of all publications
•  Visual eye for good images and the ability to place these on a page.
•  Have input into daily news conferences
•  The ability to present and represent The Armidale Express at social and community functions, such as the Autumn Festival and at Council meetings
