Job Duties:


  •     Provide expert level of advice and assistance to leaders with technical and operational issues associated with electronic security systems and their structured application and integration to Queensland Rail's operational environment.
  •     Manage analyse and review the implementation and ongoing audit process of staff and system performance in accordance with Queensland Rail's operational requirements for electronic security systems.
  •     Monitor operational and technical performance and integrity of electronic security systems and proactively prepare recommendations, designs and submissions for future upgrades or directly implement other changes, where applicable to improve electronic security system performance.
  •     Develop project budgets (up to approximately $8 million) for new Closed Circuit Television systems and provide technical and operational advice for the development of appropriate training for electronic security system users and maintenance staff.
  •     Provide high level negotiation and communication with key internal stakeholders, public and government agencies as appropriate to achieve desired business outcomes.
  •     Research and analyse latest developments in electronic security systems and recommend appropriate applications/enhancements to improve the performance of Queensland Rail electronic security systems and related applications and to ensure that security infrastructure is future proofed in line with ongoing newtowk growth.
  •     Lead and manage the Security Technology team.
