Job Duties:
1. Provide effective technical support for maintenance and operational services for traction power systems equipment. This will include technical support to stakeholders external to QR Services (QRS) where they interface with QRS activities.
2. Provide technical support for Substation Electricians' and Electrical Control Operators in relation to SCADA and other operational issues as required.
3. Perform and/or supervise electrical work that is related to the testing of electrical equipment associated with Traction Systems.
4. Develop, implement and maintain a technical and safety auditing and inspections program. This will include asset and process inspections/audits.
5. Investigate track fault/incidences. This includes fault recording and maintenance scheduling information and electrical incidences.
6. Assess the need for investment in the traction network and provide investment strategies and submissions in conjunction with QR Network Pty Ltd and Manager Electrical Engineering.
7. Co-ordinate inter/intra group work activities and minor design. This will include work approval/acceptance of power systems construction and repair activities on behalf QRS.
8. Provide safety advice with regard to work activities near 25kV/50kV Traction equipment.
