Superintendent Strategic Planning and Marine
4/3 roster Residential - Port Hedland
An opportunity exists for a highly motivated and driven leader to develop and manage the short term planning and shipping function for Anderson Point and to provide management support for performance reporting.
Reporting to the Manager or Port Operations, your key accountabilities will include:
• Forecasting, monitoring and reporting of departmental budget, monthly reporting
• Review, monitor and audit current stacking and shipping plan
• Initiate long range planning for forecasting of overall Port Operations
• Interface with Shipping, Rail, Mines and Integrated Planning to ensure communication of supply and quality issues
• Coordination of maintenance and operational activities to minimise disruption to production
• Optimise planning procedure and practices for the Port Scheduling team
• Display a continuous improvement culture within the Scheduling and Marine team
• Coach and lead team in their technical and people skills development
• Constantly highlight safety requirements and expectations.
Qualifications and skills required:
• Considerable experience in people leadership and dealing in high demand environment and technical knowledge of safe loading operation of bulk carriers
• Significant experience in Cape size vessels, Shipping/Scheduling and Operations in the Marine/Agency or Mining industry
• Relevant Maritime qualifications (Master, Chief Officer) and MSIC Card
• Long term planning and knowledge of shipping industry and documentation process
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
