Fortescue is the world's fourth largest iron ore producer.

The heart of our operations is in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, spanning from Port Hedland, across our heavy haul railway to our mines at Cloudbreak, Christmas Creek and Solomon. In only a decade we've built one of Australia's leading resource companies.

We began shipping iron-ore to our customers in Asia in 2008 and since then we have exported more than 240 million tonnes.  In 2013, we'll open on fourth berth at Port Hedland and our 40 million tonnes per annum Kings Mine at Solomon, allowing us to reach our target of 155 million tonnes per annum.

This is an exciting time to join the Fortescue team as we consolidate our position as one of the world's largest iron-ore producers.

Position:

We are currently seeking a Quarry Manager for our Cloudbreak Operations, this role will ensure the mine remains compliant with the appropriate and relevant legislation whilst also supporting the operation with safety leadership and direction.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:
• A suitable number of year's experience within loading and hauling operations
• Experience in a leadership role supervising personnel and managing performance
• An understanding of coaching for success principles to ensure the organisations requirements are complied with
• Experience leading and facilitating investigations with a clear knowledge of Incident reporting requirements
• ICAM or equivalent investigation training and experience
• Experience and training in change management process with the ability to follow site change management system principle and guideline
• Experience creating audit systems that measure and improve safety
• Exposure managing contract work and auditing systems of work verifying systems are in place and complied with
• An unrestricted Western Australian Quarry Managers certificate of competency
• Held a position of Quarry Manager in previous employment demonstrating a sound working knowledge of statutory obligations
