This is an exciting time to join the Fortescue team as we consolidate our position as one of the world's largest iron-ore producers.
The Reliability Engineer position was designed to assist our Port Operations and Maintenance teams to extend the life of critical components and guarantee an efficient monitoring of the critical assets on site.
The main focus is to monitor methodically all plant systems and assure maximum availability and minimum maintenance costs.
As the Reliability Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and engineering support to the Maintenance and Operations teams. You will be at the forefront of the defect elimination process and drive an Overall Equipment Effectiveness improvement program with all of his/her projects and actions.
You will be also responsible for leading thorough investigations via Root Cause Analysis to prevent reoccurrence of chronic and acute plant performance issues.
Finally, the reliability engineer leads projects that will deploy increase plant availability, utilization and optimisation.
To be successful in this role you will have;
• A mechanical engineering degree.
• Material handling equipment design, fabrication and/or maintenance.
• Iron ore transfer system design, fabrication and/or maintenance.
• Computer design,
• Project management.
