We are currently seeking an experienced Senior HR Consultant who will support and assist our Engineering & Construction business in Queensland. The role will report into the HR Lead and provide support and advice to Project Line Managers across all aspects of HR practices.
As the successful candidate, you will express a teamwork attitude, ability to work with other HR team members and provide the Tenix workforce with the full range of HR services.
Job Duties:
• Support Line Managers with HR advice to achieve their business objectives.
• Assist with the management of HR transactional functions e.g. Payroll enquires (Chris21), contracts of employment, induction programs.
• Provide interpretation and advice to Line Managers around Award categories and EBAs
• Advise Line Managers on employee engagement initiatives, employee development, remuneration and benefits.
• Partner with Senior Managers to deliver corporate and business HR initiatives.
• Provide guidance and input on business restructures, workforce and succession planning.
Job Requirements:
• Tertiary qualifications in HR, management, business or equivalent.
• Sound experience in providing full generalist support and advice to Managers and Employees.
• Experience in a similar role working ideally within the construction / engineering industries or for an organisation with a large blue collar workforce, ideally with on site project experience.
• Demonstrated experience in partnering with Senior Managers to deliver corporate and business HR initiatives.
• Knowledge and understanding of IR, Award categories, EBAs and the ability to work with Fair Work Legislation
• Experience in providing performance management guidance, counselling and coaching to build high performing teams.
• Experience working with Union Representatives.
• Proven experience in leading corporate projects.
