As one of our Testing & Commissioning Technicians you will be responsible for the testing and commissioning all primary and secondary control and protection systems under minimum supervision and guidance, ensuring that safety and quality objectives are successfully achieved. This will include HV Substations and power transformers.
If you have a testing and commissioning background with experience in the utilities sector then this role could offer you the opportunity to:
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with clients and customers
• Develop your technical, test, and commissioning skills
• Demonstrate your commitment to Safety, Quality Management and Environmental principles
• Perform testing and commissioning activities within small multi-disciplined teams, achieving challenging test and commissioning schedules
• Work on some of challenging and diverse projects
As the successful applicant you will be responsible for the interpretation of schematics, challenge designs and implementation of site modifications as required. Relevant electrical trade qualifications are mandatory, combined with relevant Associate Diploma / Degree tertiary qualifications and experience in electrical distribution/ transmission network construction projects and relevant testing and commissioning requirements.Furthermore, you will be familiar with the use of OMICROM Test Universe software or equivalent and be prepared to travel.
