This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Merchandise Planner to provide and implement analytical, administrative and process disciplines and innovations to a nominated group of Buyers.
Currently we have vacancies across our Footwear and Accessories and our Home and Food categories.
Job Minimum Requirements:
- Previous retail merchandise planning experience
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to balance competing deadlines
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Apparel experience desirable
Job Duties:
- Establish, implement, manage and report on Buyer sales, GP and stock forecasts to agreed formats
- Implement and monitor Buyer budgets
- Set and maintain Buyer prices curves by store grid as it applies to the strategy
- Maintain Buyer brand maps by store grid as it applies to the strategy
- Manage Buyer OTB (including Basic Stock) and purchase order authorisation
- Manage purchased quantities to ensure each Buyer achieves financial outcomes
- Ensure that the distribution of OTB across size, colour and cluster mix reflects historical data so that financial results are optimised
- Implement assortment planning process with Buyer
- Maintain continual reporting on stock profile to agreed formats
- In conjunction with Buyer, quantify (by store) stock for marketing initiatives
- To agree with Buyer all seasonal items, and promotional stock quantities for each store
- Monitor advertising support and performance as it applies to the strategy
- Establish, implement and monitor supplier fulfilment performance
- Provide information and recommendations to Buyers to ensure basic stock policy and procedure is applied
