Job Description:
An opportunity currently exists for a dedicated Buying Assistant to join the Merchandise team. Based at East Bentleigh and reporting to the Buyer, you will be central in providing support to effectively deliver the category strategy.

Job Requirements:

  •     Strong retail experience
  •     High levels of computer literacy
  •     Attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
  •     Strong leadership skills with the ability to build trust and develop supplier relationships
  •     Strong analytical, planning and communication skills
  •     Possess a keen eye for detail
  •     Degree or Diploma in Marketing/commerce area an advantage

Job Duties:
  •     Article registration and management
  •     Accurately enter promotional and pricing details
  •     Managing and maintaining local and imported costs
  •     Market and customer trend analysis
  •     Provide supporting data e.g. catalogue analysis
  •     Monitor and analyse stock levels to achieve optimum stock turn
  •     Participate in range reviews and provide analytical reports
  •     Liaising with key stakeholders internal and external
