Job Description:
Overhead Crane Drivers are responsible for the safe and effective operation of BOS and Steel Treatment overhead cranes. Under verbal instructions they move a variety of equipment including ladles containing 270T molten iron / steel, tundishes and other equipment to meet the operational requirements.
Job Requirements:
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate their ability to:

• Follow work procedures and instructions
• Demonstrate attention to detail
• Demonstrate effective listening and verbal communication skills
Job duties;
• Understanding and application of all safety procedures and practices to meet operational needs
• Understanding and application of all operational standards for the following work roles:
Charge the BOS vessel with molten iron or steel scrap
Move ladles of molten steel from vessel to treatment stations
Move ladles of molten steel from treatment stations to caster machines
Move empty ladles and other equipment around as required
Operators should have or be able to obtain a relevant accreditation (licence) for the operation of an Overhead Cabin Crane.
Wages and conditions are in accordance with the BlueScope Steel Port Kembla Steelworks Agreement 2012. Operating under a 12 hour by 7 day shift roster; this is your opportunity to launch a great career with an iconic global company!
