About Fairfax Media Trade Marketing
The purpose of the Trade Marketing team is to support the National Commercial sales teams by promoting Fairfax Media brands, audiences & products to relevant groups.
Trade Marketing sits within the Australian Publishing Media division of Fairfax Media which comprises Fairfax print and digital media operations across the primary metropolitan centres of Australia. Print products include the metropolitan newspapers (including The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Canberra Times), Fairfax Community Newspapers and Fairfax Magazines (including Sunday Life and Good Weekend). The digital division includes the metropolitan news and information websites, m-sites and apps (including smh.com.au, theage.com.au, canberratimes.com.au brisbaneties.com.au, and WAToday.com.au).

Job Duties:
• Will report to the Studio Manager and work closely with a senior designer and mid-designer on a diverse range of design collateral such as press/digital ads, brochures, flyers, invitations, EDMs, micro-sites, motion graphics and presentation documents.
• The successful candidate will be able to think creatively, as well as have the ability to see projects through to final art with a high standard of accuracy and production quality.
• It is essential that you can work autonomously as well as part of a team.
• The team is responsible for producing quality, engaged communications for all Fairfax Australian Publishing Media platforms, with the aim to maximise revenue and grow market share.

Job Requirement:
• Tertiary design qualifications
• Minimum 7 years experience in a design role (media experience an advantage but not necessary)
• Advance knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office (Powerpoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Sound print and web knowledge
• Organisation and prioritisation skills
• Be able to meet tight deadlines
• You must also have a proven track record in managing and organising multiply design projects whilst maintaining an innovative and professional standard.
