Job Description:
Reporting to the Management Accounting Manager, you will lead a small team to ensure relevant stakeholders are provided with accurate, insightful and timely financial information, develop effective reporting and planning processes and work closely with the business commercial team focusing on business improvements projects.
Job Requirements:
• Tertiary qualifications in a business related discipline.
• Professional membership of Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants / Institute of Chartered Accountants or equivalent (essential).
• Significant experience in a similar or commercial role (leadership and technical).
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Experience in Oracle E-business and IBM Cognos TM1 are desirable.
Job Duties:
• Lead a qualified team of professional accountants to support the business.
• Provide high quality analysis of business performance.
• Provide accurate, relevant and timely monthly management/board reports.
• Develop and coordinate financial planning across the business including corporate plan, budgets and forecasts.
• Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are completed and approved on a monthly basis.
• Provide technical advice and support to operational teams to ensure transactions are consistent with divisional policies, appropriately documented and properly accounted for.
• Identify and act upon improvement opportunities that result in effective processes across the business and department.
• Participate in projects as required.
• Encourage a culture where safety is prioritised.
