The Role
You will be part of a geographically diverse 27/7 IT network operations team that manage hardware, software, data storage and equipment. Supporting this complex network of locations at time challenging isolated global sites, you will monitor network performance, supply analytics and reports. You will offer level 2 trouble shooting support for network disruptions, manage changes and at times action trouble shooting support for network service upgrades. As this is a global service team, you will require the ability to work on a 4-5 week on call roster for 1 week.
The Criteria
• Demonstrate previous operations experience in a complex network (varying locations/configurations) is essential
• Developed trouble shooting abilities to diagnose, test and identify network issues and faults
• Display a customer centric work ethic with developed oral and written communication skills
• Capacity to manage critical network suppliers and drive service delivery
• Display initiative and commitment to your own personal and ongoing technical development
• Demonstrable experience supporting a complex organisation(global or regional based sites) and developed knowledge of ITIL
Display technical skills in:
• WAN experience: Routing protocols EIGRP, OSPF, prefer BGP (WAN technology MPLS, VPN (DVPN), ADSL)
• LAN experience - spanning tree, SVI (switch virtual Interfaces), VTP; (LAN Media - SMF (Single mode fibre) Cat5/5a/6)
• Cisco CCNA minimum with preference of CCNP
• Telecommunications knowledge, Cisco Firewall and Juniper will be viewed favourably.
