Payroll Officer
The payroll team at Fortescue Metals Group is at the forefront of providing professional payroll support to our large scale Operations and ground breaking Projects. We are currently seeking a team oriented and self-motivated Payroll Officer to join our close knit payroll team.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
• High volume data validation and data cleansing
• Processing salaries and standard allowances, Change of Conditions, terminations, expense reimbursements and incentive payments.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Federal and State legislation
• Administration and reconciliation of employee leave entitlements as well as employee deductions including payments to external parties
• Responding to employee, senior staff and external queries in an efficient and timely manner.
• Administration of employee superannuation in accordance with relevant legislation including remittance via web portal
• Ensuring all employee information is kept up-to-date and current in SAP as well as on the employee's personnel file
• Maintaining confidentiality of payroll data with respect to privacy legislation

In order to be considered, the successful candidate must have:
• Previous experience (4/5 years) in a similar Payroll Officer role with high volume data entry and data cleansing experience
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Intermediate MS Excel skills
• Demonstrated commitment of customer service, confidentiality & continuous improvement
• Previous experience with SAP is highly desirable
